Your TV viewing will be controlled by the tuner in the TiVo. Leave the TV set to that channel all the time. Whatever channel you choose, use the same one for both the TiVo and the VCR. This in turn means the TV will always stay set on 3 or 4, depending on what the VCR's output is set on. You'll also have to set the VCR's antenna/RF output to either 3 or 4. This means that for the VCR to get anything from the TiVo, the VCR will have to be set on channel 3 or 4, matching whatever the TiVo's output is set for. The VCR should now be able to record from the TiVo, but you'll have to check your VCR owner's manual to see what channel you set it on to receive the A/V signal. Again, yellow to yellow, red to red, white to white. Plug the other end of your cable into those. Look for the ones marked 'input' or 'in'. On the back of the VCR/DVD machine, there should be similar yellow, red and white jacks.
